Easy Access Guide

Procedures to be Completed Prior to Installation

In order to complete the entire installation of Easy Access, you will need the following information. If you do not have this information, we recommend not installing Easy Access until all information is received. All the information below can be attained from the Credit Bureau you subscribe to.

For Experian - you need a Net Connect Account with the following details:

  • Preamble

  • Subscriber Number

  • Net Connect User ID

  • Net Connect Password

For Equifax - you will need an ISTS Account with the following details:

  • Subscriber Number

  • Password

  • ISTS Site ID

  • ISTS Customer Code

  • ISTS Password

For TransUnion - you will need a TUNA Account with the following details:

  • Subscriber Number

  • TU Password

  • Bureau Market

  • Bureau Sub-Market

  • File your receive directly from TransUnion


Installation Guide

Warning: Users installing Easy Access to a Novell 3.x server must have long file name support enabled.

Follow the directions below.

  1. At the Main PC, place the Easy Access Installation CD in the CD-Rom drive.

    Normally, setup.exe on the CD-Rom will start automatically. If it does not start within a minute or your CD-Rom is not running, please follow steps 2 to 5. If the setup program starts automatically, skip to step 6.

  2. Click on the Start menu and select Run...



  3. Click on the Browse button and navigate to the CD-ROM drive.



  4. Select Setup.Exe and click the Open button.



    Please note: You may only see the file shown as Setup depending on your computers configuration.

  5. You will be returned to the Run Window with the path to the Setup.exe shown. Click the OK button.



  6. Once the Easy Access Online Installation begins, the License Agreement window is shown. Please read the License Agreement.

    • If you agree to the terms of the License Agreement, select the OK button.

    • If you don't agree to the terms of the License Agreement, select Cancel button and select Yes.




  7. From the Welcome window, click the Next button.



  8. On the next screen, select the option "Install with License ID (Registered Users)" and click the Next button.



  9. At the License ID Screen, enter the License ID that came with the Easy Access Installation CD and click the Next button.



  10. A pop-up form will appear entitled, "Install from Installation Code." Click Yes to continue.



  11. From the Select Components window, verify that all options have a check mark beside them and click the Next button.



  12. On the Select Destination Directory, click the Browse… button. Navigate to the Csdir\3rdParty folder and click the Ok button.





    Note: If a message about the directory already existing is shown, click Yes to continue.

  13. The next screen - "Ready to Install" - requires you to click the Next button. You will see the screen below during installation.



  14. You have completed the installation process. Click Finish to complete the process. You will be asked to start Easy Access Online now. Click No since we don't want to run Easy Access at this time.

You have completed installing Easy Access.


Register Easy Access

You have now installed Easy Access. Before you can use Easy Access, you will need to register Easy Access. Please follow the steps below to register Easy Access.

  1. Double click on the Easy Access Icon on the Desktop.



  2. At the Easy Access Setup Wizard window, click the Cancel button and select Yes at the message prompt.



  3. At the About Easy Access window, you have two options for registering Easy Access:



    • Method One - Click the Register Online button and follow the instructions provided. (Note: This option takes up to two business days).

    • Method Two - Click Registration Tab and call Real Solutions at 1-530-725-8415 to obtain a registration number.

    Follow the configuration guide for the Credit Bureau you are going to be using with Easy Access.

At this point, you need to continue by selecting the Credit Bureau your Credit Union will use for Easy Access.

Follow the steps of Part Two and return to this spot when completed.


Setting Up Additional Workstations

Please Note: If you are going to use Easy Access only from the main, you do not need to do what is in this section.

Once you have installed Easy Access on the main computer, you can access Easy Access from any workstation on your network. Please follow the directions below on setting up Easy Access on a workstation.

  1. From a workstation that has CompuShare loaded on it, open Windows Explorer and navigate to the EasyAccess folder.

    Example: CompuShare 4.0 Users the location would be something like this H:\CSDIR\3RDPARTY\EASYACCESS



  2. Click on the EasyAccess.Exe file to select it. Right click while highlighted for the menu to appear. Highlight the Send To option and select Desktop (Create Shortcut) to place the shortcut to Easy Access to your desktop.



    Please note: Some operating systems allow you to pin a program to your Start Menu. To pin Easy Access to your Start Menu, select the EasyAccess.exe and right click while the file is highlighted. Select "Pin to Start Menu" to pin Easy Access to your Start Menu.



  3. Follow your Configuration Guide for the Credit Bureau (Section Three) you are setting Easy Access up to use. Note most if not all of the settings should already be set and just need to be verified.

If you want more than one workstation to have Easy Access, please repeat the steps above for each workstation.


CompuShare 4.08 Easy Access Update Installation Guide

Please Note the Following:

  • This section is specific to 4.08 systems only. 5.0 systems do not need to do this step. If you have a mixed system, you need to run Easy Access through 5.0.

  • Easy Access must be install before running this update. In addition, on Peer-To-Peer Networks, the update must be ran on the Main workstation first (U00) then on each workstation.

When you need to update your Easy Access system, please follow these steps.

  1. Place the Easy Access Installation CD in the CD-ROM drive.

  2. Click on the Start menu and select Run



  3. Click the Browse button and navigate to the CD-ROM drive.



  4. Select CSSEasy.EXE (Please note you may only see the file shown as CSSEasy depending on your computers configuration), and click the Open button.



  5. If a completion window appears, click the Finish button. If nothing happens, the system is updated.

If you want more than one workstation to have Easy Access, please repeat the steps above for each workstation.
