Configuring Equifax

Please Note: Use the directions below for Equifax Credit Bureau.

To configure Easy Access to the Equifax Credit Bureau, follow these steps.

  1. Double click on the Easy Access Icon on the Desktop.



  2. At the Easy Access Setup Wizard window, click the Cancel button and select Yes at the message prompt.

    (Note: This step may not be required if you already have an account setup in Easy Access with another Credit Bureau.)



  3. Press the F3 key. The screen below will appear.



  4. Select Printing from the list on the left in Easy Access Setup/Options window.



  5. Place a check mark in the "Print incoming reports Automatically" option.

  6. Select the printer to use when printing credit reports.

  7. Select Company Information from the list on the left in Easy Access Setup/Options window.



  8. Complete the Company Information on the right side of the screen.

  9. Select User Setup from the list on the left in Easy Access Setup/Options Window.



    Please Note: Skip Steps 10 through 14 if you already have Easy Access Setup for one of the other Credit Bureaus.



  10. Place a check mark beside the Password Protection field on the right.

  11. Click the New Button.



  12. Enter the following user information as shown below.

    align=left class=normal> Name: ADMIN
    Password: ADMIN
    Initials: AD
    Default Department: Default
    Administration Rights: True



    Please Note: You may leave the Dept Access Rights blank. This will allow you to have access to all Easy Access Departments. For more information on Access Rights, click the Help button in Easy Access.



  13. Click the OK button.

  14. Click the New button again.

  15. Enter the following information as shown below.

    Name: USER
    Password: USER
    Initials: US
    Default Department: Default
    Administration Rights: False



  16. Click the OK button for both the User Settings and Easy Access Setup/Options windows.

  17. A Password Prompt is shown enter the Password "ADMIN" and click the OK button.



  18. Press the F3 key on your keyboard.

  19. Select Bureau Setup from the list on the left in the Easy Access Setup/Options window.



  20. Click the Equifax Tab on the right.

  21. Move down to Connection Type box and change it to Internet.



  22. Move down to the Subscriber-Password and enter your Equifax Member Number and enter a "-" and then your Equifax Security code.



  23. Move down to ISTS Site ID box and enter your Equifax ISTS Site Id.



  24. Move down to ISTS Customer Code box and enter your Equifax ISTS Customer Code.

  25. Move down to ISTS Password and enter your Equifax password. If a confirmation window is shown click the Yes button.

  26. Select Integration Options in the list on the left and click the plus beside Integration Options.



  27. Select Importing/Exporting in the list on the left.

  28. Place a check mark in the "Allow Importing" option.



  29. Click the Ok button.

    At this point, you have set up Easy Access for Equifax. You need to do two more things before the process will be complete.



  30. On the main PC, run the CompuShare 5.0 Installation CD performing an update while having the Mod Update Disk in the floppy drive.

  31. Login in to CompuShare 5.0 and go to the Credit Bureau Control File and move to the Equifax Tab and set the Easy Access Password to ADMIN for each users control file.

You have now completed all the steps for Equifax.
